Both the St. Thomas Aquinas Senior Girls Basketball team and Senior Boys Volleyball Team are headed to OFSAA after capturing gold at the NWOSSAA Championships.
In Senior Girls Basketball action the Saints took on Manitouwadge. In Game 1 the Saints defeated the Manitouwadge Wolverines: 38 - 22. In Game 2 the girls fell 34 - 41. In the final and deciding game the Saints defeated the Manitouwadge 31 – 20.
The girls will now travel to the OFSAA Championship being held in Walkerton, On November 24th – 26th.
In boys volleyball action, the Saints also took on Manitouwadge defeating them in two straight games in the best of three series. In Game 1 the SAINTS defeated the Manitouwadge Wolverines 3 – 1, scores: 25 – 19; 25 – 19; 27 – 29; 27 – 25. In Game 2 the SAINTS defeated the Manitouwadge Wolverines 3 – 0, scores: 25 – 19; 25 – 23; 25 – 21
They will now travel to the OFSAA Championship being held in Sudbury November 24th – 26th.
